When I graduated in 95, i had it clear in my mind that God wanted me to be a pastor. I had attended RCCS since it first opened when I was in 3rd grade, all the way to Graduation. I attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN from 1995 to 1999. I finished all the requirements for graduation other than Greek. I struggled with this class and I could not seem to grasp the concepts of the language.
So I did not complete my degree.
But at NWC, I met my wife Colleen. We married in the summer of 99 and the following year we moved to Sioux falls SD. I got a job working in a bank as a student loan officer. There we began our family. Alex and Isaac were both born while we lived there.
Then in 2006 we felt God moving in our lives. We felt that God was calling us to move to Janesville. So we moved in the summer of 2004 back to Janesville. I found a job at a new mill work plant in town that was owned by Lowe’s. After about a year, I was promoted to a manager position at the plant. In 2008 through many different circumstances, we felt that God still had a calling on our lives in ministry. So again I set about tackling Greek. This time i got through it with flying colors and I enrolled in Liberty Seminary.
Even though I was still in seminary, I felt the need to start looking for a church in February of 2010. In August of 2010 our family was called to a church in Phillips WI to become the senior pastor. It has been such a blessing to be in God’s will.
As I look back on all I learned from RCCS, I thank God for it every day. My children were attending RCCS up until we moved to Phillips. The love of the daily Bible class has fueled my love of studying God’s word today. The teachers who dedicated so much time and energy to us. To them I would love to say thank you for your dedication.
May God bless,
Keith Hurlbut

My passions in life are Family, Worship & Teens. God is so awesome and has blessed me beyond measure!
In 2001 I married my high school sweetheart, Nick. Then in 2002 the Lord
brought me through a miraculous delivery of our daughter, Kaliana. I was supposed to die from heart failure, but God’s power is alive and kickin’!
Nick and I currently serve as the Youth Leaders of Faith Bible Church (Janesville), where I have attended since 1984. We have seen God do awesome things in the lives of teens and consider it a blessing to serve God in such a fun way.
We are also both on the Worship Team. Nick plays bass guitar and I play piano and sing, occasionally leading. There is no experience greater than being in the presence of God! Words cannot express the magnitude of passion it stirs up inside my spirit!
I still have two younger brothers attending RCCS, a sister that just graduated in 2005, and my mom is the 3 yr. old preschool teacher. So my family is still very involved with the school. We’re at allot of basketball games cheering our voices out… GO EAGLES GO!!

After graduating from RCCS in ’95, I went on to college and ended up graduating from Trinity Christian College in ’99 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. It was at Trinity where I met my wife Tanya (Vander Wilt). We decided that while we were both young and mobile that we would pull up our roots and head wherever God would lead us. We ended up in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, where Tanya obtained a job at Whitinsville Christian School as an 4th Grade elementary school teacher. I soon found a job at a small but growing biotechnology company called TTE
Laboratories, where I quickly rose the position of Lab Manager. At TTE we provide liquid handling solutions to pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic labs, biotechnology companies, and educational institutions.
Essentially, we service and sell laboratory tools called pipettes. If you are interested you can visit our website pipettes.com.
We have 2 wonderful children. Dylan, who is 3, and Allison who is 8 months old. They are truly the apple of my eye. We have become part of a wonderful church community here. We are members of Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church, where Tanya is involved in the Sunday school programs as well as being nursery coordinator. I have served one term as a Deacon, help out with our Audio/Visual team, and enjoy singing in
choir. Upon my graduation from RCCS, I never would have guessed that I would have ended up in Massachusetts, but God has blessed us here beyond measure. It is amazing what God can do when we go through the doors he opens for us.

After attending RCCS from 3-11th grade, I transferred and graduated from Hononegah in 2004. The year after that I spent doing different jobs (Famous Dave’s, Office Depot, Timber-lee, Goshen Children’s Home) and did a semester at Rock Valley College in the spring. After an insane series of events including a music festival and a car accident, I ended up coming to Garden Valley, Texas to intern at Teen Mania’s Honor Academy last August. That’s a story in itself, really. God sure does have a way of getting you to be where you need to be, though! I will be graduating mid-August and returning home.
I’m not sure how long I will be in the area, honestly. I’d like to do some time with YWAM in the near future, but I haven’t been told when or where yet! Really, now is just major “decision-making”/”discovering the will of God” time. I’m up for anything. My heart is for teenagers, truth, and photography.
Please be praying for me. I need supporters [and a new camera
], as well, so anybody who’s out there and wants to lift a sista up!…
Really, I ‘need’ money- but God will provide using whatever means He pleases. He has definitely proven Himself in that area this year! Really, I just need your prayers. He listens to them and they work! God, for some reason, chose me to be in His family, and He’s gone out of His way to raise me in a home that loves him, I was given the opportunity to go to a Christian middle school and high school, then I was given the chance to come to the Honor Academy and grow some more, and I’ve been blessed with countless teachers, coaches and mentors along the way who have selflessly poured into my life, and I refuse to believe that He’s done all that just so I could be content with a college degree and a normal 9-5 desk job somewhere and living in a normal house in a normal town, going to a normal church and doing normal people things. I just have a “feeling” that my life is going to be different. And how suiting, considering I’ve always fit into the “interesting” girl category!
So, the prayers I need are focused around the idea of me keeping my attention and affections on Him and having obedience and trust to follow Him wherever he leads me.
If you want to contact me and let me know what’s going on in your life, I’d love to hear from you! The best way is to email me at blondebond16@yahoo.com.
Go, Eagles!
Ps: Love those teachers—they’re incredible people.
